Adax DCX Gateway/Switch gives Wide Area Networking Applications more Flexibility
The DCX contains two T1/E1 connections, switching matrix, MVIP, and 16 ports

San Francisco - June 25, 1996 - Adax Inc. today announced their new product The Digital Circuit Exchange (DCX™). In telecommunications today the problem is how to handle simultaneously Private Leased Lines, Internet Connections, Modems, Voice, Data, and Digital Media. Adax answered this problem with their Advanced Network Controller Card the DCX (ANC-DCX).

The DCX is full featured card with built in CSU/DSU for two T1 or E1 connections(or one of each), fourteen X.21 connections, two RS 449 connections, MVIP (Multiple Vendor Interface Protocol), and a powerful Adax Switch Matrix to control a total of eight T1/E1 Trunks. The DCX is available in both ISA/EISA , and Micro Channel bus versions.

"Think of our DCX as a large recording console for the Wide Area Network. Telecommunications applications today are expected to control many different Network Protocols just like mixing many different audio signals for a record CD/album. The Adax DCX mixes WAN protocols for the optimal performance and flexibility." Dr. Barry Zuckerman President and founder of Adax.

Insert and Link
Perfect for System Integrators, VAR's and OEM's the DCX is designed to be modular. Insert and Link means that you can build with Adax from a single card in a Web Server up to a multi-port card rack for the most demanding telecommunications applications.

Direct Connect
With ANC-DCX you can now Direct Connect to the WAN. Adax Advanced Protocol Controllers and Advanced Protocol Software allow a direct connection from the server to the network without any external devices or routers.

DCX Markets
"The market for this product is Telecommunication Applications and Servers that need the highest WAN performance possible." Explained Drew Sproul Director of Marketing and Business Development at Adax. "Adax achieves this performance because all of our cards and software work together. This gives our customers a quicker time to market and reliability over many types of protocols, O/S. and bus architecture's. The DCX is another Adax product that was a result of working with our partners to meet the needs of the exponential growth of the Internet/Intranet."

Works with Adax Protocol Controllers and Third Party Products
The DCX has a Integral MVIP interface (ISA/EISA version) for support of third party telecommunications for computer telephone integration products such as Modem cards to PC Users, video, music, PBX voice cards, FAX, LAN Cards, and other DSP cards for playing and recording voice messages. The MVIP interface allows for the most flexibility in large or small chassis applications

Ease of Installation & Configuration
The DCX installs and configures with standard operating system utilities. Easy to follow instructions guide you through every step necessary to successful communications.

Pricing and Availability
The DCX is available today and the Retail price is $4025.00 US.
